Saturday afternoon, July 10th, marked the beginning of what is expected to be a one year project to construct the new headquarters for the LaGrange Fire Protection District. Groundbreaking ceremonies were attended by local dignitaries and citizens of LaGrange showing their support for the start of what will ultimately be a 20,000 square facility that will contain 8 dorm rooms, 5 apparatus bays, staff offices and meeting rooms. The new station will be located on a scenic 5.3 acre tract of land at 309 N. 1st. Ave.
