With another year of service behind us, LaGrange Fire & Rescue Department recently recognized volunteer, career and auxiliary personnel for years of service, notable achievements and basically "Doing Whatever It Takes". The awards presentation along with an excellent meal, catered by Classic Cuisine, was held at Soiree in LaGrange. Three major awards that were presented during the evening included the following:
Lt. Brian Claybern-The Mayfield Rankin Award, given to the Career Firefighter of the Year
Sgt. John Mason-The Richard Dake Award, given to the Volunteer Firefighter of the Year
FF. Jordan Mamrack-Rookie of the Year
Another notable recognition during the evening was in the area of Years of Service. FF Bill Thomas took the honor of having over 32 years of service with LFRD.
