The Department of Highways District 5 Office advises motorists to be aware of impending construction on Interstate 71 between mile point 22 in Oldham County and mile point 28 in Henry County. Work will begin the week of June 28, 2009 to perform base repairs and resurface this section of roadway.
The roadway may be reduced to one lane in each direction during construction and motorists should expect delays. The speed limit in the work zone will be reduced to 55 MPH for the duration of the project.
