Former Board Chairman Passes Away

Joseph Milburn Eldridge

ELDRIDGE, JOSEPH MILBURN, 81, of LaGrange, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2007 at home. He was a member of Sligo Baptist Church where he was a deacon emeritus. He was a retired business owner and had served as chairman of the LaGrange Fire Board and a member of the Oldham County School Board. He was a member of Fortitude Masonic Lodge #47, Shelbyville York Rite and a Shriner. Preceded in death by his parents, Elvin and Lovie Cooley Eldridge; brother, Carroll Eldridge; and sons, Roger Milburn Eldridge and Joseph Roger Eldridge. Survivors include his wife, the former Ethel Cox; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Dianne Eldridge, Dennis and Vickie Eldridge and Kevin and Karen Eldridge; sisters, : Norma Perkinson and Thelma Boyd; grandsons, Lynn, David, Adam and Joshua Eldridge; and a long time beloved employee, Denise Coombs.

Funeral service: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home. Burial: Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Tuesday. Family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Sligo Baptist Church Building Fund: 65 North 42 Loop, Pendleton, KY 40055.
