| The newly formed LFRD "Pullin Team" was successful in taking top honors on Saturday, July 17th, during the 1st Annual Tug-of-War that was held on the courthouse lawn during Oldham County Day festivities. The contest that was hosted by the Project Guild of LaGrange placed area law enforcement officers against firefighters in a double elimination event that drew a large crowd of spectators during the mid afternoon heat. Efforts of the law enforcement team, that included officers from LaGrange PD, Oldham County PD, Oldham County Jail and Kentucky State Police, proved futile against the power of the firefighter teams on hand. In the end, it was LaGrange Fire & Rescue Department taking the top honors over the strong effort of Ballardsville Fire Department. |
