LAGRANGE, Ky. -- Emergency officials in Oldham County have freed a man who became trapped inside a structure that collapsed.

The 25-year-old man was removing parts of the building Tuesday morning when it fell on him, trapping him under wood and metal.

Maj. Keith Smith with LaGrange Fire and Rescue says the man was pulled out of the debris and flown to University of Louisville's trauma unit. Smith says the man suffered a fracture and has stomach and chest pains.

The collapse occurred at a vacant concrete manufacturing facility near LaGrange. Crews were called to the scene at 8:24 a.m. EDT.

A second man was also working in the structure when it fell, but officials say he did not appear to suffer any injuries.
