Car fire temporarily closes bank

On April 17th at approximately 10:30am LaGrange Fire & Rescue was dispatched to PNC Bank for a working vehicle fire under the drive thru section of the building. While enroute Oldham County Dispatch advised flames were lapping onto the building. Mutual aid from Ballardsville Fire was requested at that time. Units arrived on scene and quickly extinguished the fire. Further investigation revealed smoke inside the building. Engine 1336 handled ventilation while LaGrange units handled extinguishment and overhaul of the vehicle. The bank returned to normal operation shortly thereafter.
