One Person Ejected on I-71 Crash

LaGrange Fire & Rescue Department along with Oldham County EMS recently responded to a report of a single vehicle injury collision on I-71 SB near the LaGrange exit.

Upon arrival of first responders, an SUV was located in the middle of the roadway with severe damage with reports of multiple injuries including one child being ejected from the vehicle.

First Responders located a young child near the emergency lane that had been ejected from the vehicle. Two children were transported to University Hospital in Louisville and two other children along with the driver were transported to Baptist Health LaGrange by Oldham County EMS.

The operator of the vehicle advised police that a tire blew out on the vehicle causing her to veer off the roadway into a rock wall.

It does not appear that the occupants were restrained or properly restrain.
