Crews from LaGrange, South Oldham Fire and Pewee Valley Fire responded recently to assist Ballardsville Fire & Rescue Department with an early morning structure fire in a rural location of Oldham County. First arriving units reported heavy smoke coming from the roof area of the single family dwelling. The property owners were not at home when the smoke was noticed and called in by a neighbor. Initial entry crews discovered extreme smoke conditions along with heavy fire in the attic and Side C of the home.
