On Monday, September 30, 2019 at approximately 9:27 PM, LaGrange Fire & Rescue Department along with Oldham County EMS responded to a report of an injury accident involving a semi truck on I-71 southbound at the 22 mile marker in the median. Early reports indicated that the driver was trapped inside the truck with smoke coming from the vehicle.

Upon Fire Department arrival, it was determined that the driver was already out of the truck and no fire was present. It took several minutes to package the driver and remove him from the wooded median.
