Wild Turkey Strikes Again On Interstate 71

By Assistant Chief Adrian Doleman
March 27, 2020

Over the last few days LaGrange Fire and Rescue Department has responded to two separate incidents involving wild turkeys striking vehicles on I-71. Both of the incidents involved a wild turkey striking the windshield and entering the passenger compartment of the vehicle resulting in minor injuries to the occupants. Both incidents also occurred on I-71 southbound between the 22 and 18 mile markers.

The Department is accustomed to responding to calls in this stretch of I-71 for deer strikes. It would appear that the wild turkeys have stolen the show this week.

Be safe out there!
