March 27, 2020 | |
Over the last few days LaGrange Fire and Rescue Department has responded to two separate incidents involving wild turkeys striking vehicles on I-71. Both of the incidents involved a wild turkey striking the windshield and entering the passenger compartment of the vehicle resulting in minor injuries to the occupants. Both incidents also occurred on I-71 southbound between the 22 and 18 mile markers. The Department is accustomed to responding to calls in this stretch of I-71 for deer strikes. It would appear that the wild turkeys have stolen the show this week. Be safe out there! |
