Recently, LaGrange Fire & Rescue Department responded to a report of a vehicle fire located on I-71 southbound at the Oldham/Henry County line.

Upon fire department arrival, Car 4506 reported a working vehicle fire in the emergency lane.

Personnel from Tanker 4531 arrived on scene and quickly extinguished the fire utilizing a 1-1/2" attack line. Personnel from Engine 4535 arrived on scene and assisted with salvage and overhaul. Personnel from Tanker 4565 assisted with water supply.

All occupants in the vehicle made it out safely.
