Recently, LaGrange Fire & Rescue Department along with Ballardsville and South Oldham fire departments responded to a commercial structure fire at Lesco Design & Manufacturing Co. located at 1120 Fort Pickens Road in LaGrange.

Upon fire department arrival, Car 4506 reported a well involved working fire in a metal clad building located on the west side of the roadway in the rear of the property.

The fire was brought under control and extinguished utilizing an aerial master stream and several handlines.

A Lesco representative advised that the building was a storage facility used to store paint products and was scheduled to be demolished to make way for a new building. The cause of the fire is unknown.
