| On Monday, July 30, 2007, LaGrange Fire & Rescue Department responded to Henry County on a report of a residential structure fire located in Sulphur. While en route, Oldham County Dispatch advised all responding LFRD units that they received a report that the house was fully involved. Upon arrival, Car 4502 encountered a single family residence with heavy fire throughout and was well off. Personnel from Campbellsburg and New Castle were already on the scene attempting to knock the fire down. Incident Command already established by Campbellsburg assigned Car 4502 to Operations. With the arrival of Engine 4532 and Engine 4535, crew members pulled additional hand lines off Engine 1131 and engaged in extinguishing the fire. In addition, other personnel on scene concentrated their efforts on water supply via a water shuttle operation using tankers. Personnel remained on the scene for several minutes sifting through debris to extinguish hidden spot fires. The cause of the fire is unknown and is under investigation by Kentucky State Police. |
