| On Sunday, November 12, 2006, LaGrange & Ballardsville fire departments responded to a report of a working structure fire on South KY 393.
Upon arrival, car 4502 confirmed at working structure fire in a one-story single family dwelling with the attached garage well off.
With the arrival of Ballardsville's 1337 and LaGrange's 4535, crews quickly coordinated an attacked that involved both interior and exterior fire suppression. While crews were making a quick knock down of the fire, an explosion inside the structure sent crews exiting the structure. After a short period of regrouping, crews continued to battle the fire that had now spread from the garage area to attic area.
The fire was brought under control in little over an hour. The occupants of the house had exited the structure prior to fire department arrival. |
