| On Tuesday morning, August 28th, LaGrange Fire & Rescue Dept. along with mutual aid response from Ballardsville Fire Dept., was dispatched on a report of a working structure fire in the area of 3201 Massie School Road in LaGrange. LaGrange Command units 4503 & 4507 responded direct and upon arrival reported that the working fire was a barn type structure and was "on the ground". Forestry Units 4570 & 1370 were directed down a narrow gravel road to the middle of a corn field where the structure was located. Tankers 4561 & 1364 were used to supply water to 1 1/2 inch attack lines. Additional manpower from on scene Engines was used to prevent the fire area from spreading into the corn field surrounding the structure. |
