| LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A house fire is blamed, in part, for causing a fatal car accident Monday in southern Indiana. The accident happened at Westport Road at Tunnel Mill Road in Clark County.
Clark County Police tell WAVE 3 after that receiving word his father's house was on fire, the son of the homeowner was rushing to the scene when he and a 17-year-old fire cadet collided.
Police have not confirmed if the fire cadet was on his way to the fire on New Market Road or heading to the firehouse.
The cadet was transported to the hospital, but the homeowner's son was killed in the accident.
The names of those involved have not been released.
