LFRD Responds To The Second Structure Fire For The Day

On Thursday, January 29, 2009, LaGrange and Ballardsville Fire Departments responded to McGregor Drive in Heather Hills Subdivision on a report of a residential structure fire.
Upon arrival, Engine 4532 reported a two-story residence with a working structure fire. Car 4508 arrived on the scene and established Command.
Crew members from Engine 4532 made entry and quickly knocked down the seat of the fire located in the kitchen area. Other arriving crew members assisted with overhaul and salvage operations. Fortunately, the fire was contained to the room of origin and many of the owner's valuable possessions were saved.
This incident marked the second working structure fire for the day.
The case of the fire is unknown at this time.
