Boat Operations Class
By Major Mike Rouser
July 3, 2009
On June 20th members of the LaGrange Fire & Rescue, North Oldham and Westport Fire Departments participated in a combined boat rescue operations class. It was the first time that most of the LaGrange Fire & Rescue Department members had been given an opportunity to use their Zodiac boat. North Oldham and Westport ran interference for LaGrange to keep the rest of the river traffic from running over us. Though you didn't want to spend a great deal of time in the water as the water temperature was only 74 degrees, we had a great day of training. All those involved are looking forward to the next opportunity for more of this.
