LFRD Extricates Victim From Vehicle on I-71 in Henry County

On Friday, January 25, 2013, LaGrange Fire & Rescue Department responded to I-71 southbound in the area of the 23 mile marker on a report of an injury accident. It was later determined that the accident was at the 26 mile marker just inside Henry County. Upon the arrival of Fire & EMS units it was quickly determined that several vehicles were involved including a person that was trapped inside her car. Crew members from Engine 4534 utilizing serveral hydraulic extrication tools sucessfuly extricated the victim from her car. Two people were transported to University Hospital by Oldham County EMS.
