By Assistant Chief Adrian Doleman
October 10, 2007
On Wednesday, October 10, 2007, LaGrange Fire & Rescue Department responded to a report of hay bales on fire on a trailer while in tow at the intersection of North KY 393 and Dispatchers Way in Buckner. While en route, dispatch advised all fire units that the police department was on scene confirming a working fire. In addition, the police advised that the vehicle pulling the trailer had disconnected and was in the clear of the fire. Upon arrival, Car 4502 found a working fire involving eight round hay bales on a trailer and assumed Command. With the arrival of Squrt 4531, crew members pulled one (1 3/4 inch) attack line with class "A" foam and knocked down the majority of the fire. The trailer was pulled to an open area where the hay bales were unloaded and broken down to fully extinguish the fire. The trailer was being pulled by the Department of Corrections.
